In February 2022, Mylan Wines came under new ownership from Hood River local, Nate Miller, and recent Hawaiian expat, Kelsey Sproul.
At the start of June 2022, Mylan Wines officially rebranded to GorgeOn Wines. After a 4-month transition period from the former owner, Ben Wasby, Nate Miller and Kelsey Sproul took the first step in the new direction of building upon the legacy Ben started - and adding their own twist on it in the Columbia Gorge; with the goal to showcase the next generation of winemaking, styles, and inclusivity in the Gorge.
Kelsey has worked in fine dining, resorts, and wineries for over a decade in three states, with extensive knowledge of the wine and hospitality industry. Since taking ownership in GorgeOn Wines with Nate, she has started her journey to acquire her MBA to help grow the business with more formal knowledge. She and her husband, Derek moved to the Gorge in 2020 from Maui, HI and wish to bring the aloha spirit to our community!
Nate has worked in various restaurants and wineries for nearly a decade - including many local businesses in Hood River. Having started his wine journey as a child, helping his father plant their own Pinot Noir, his knowledge of the food and hospitality industry has been ever expanding. As well as running GorgeOn Wines with Kelsey, he also serves as a real estate broker in both Oregon & Washington, meeting many through his work that have grown into great friendships and connections.
Grown up in the Gorge, with family roots going back over fifty years in the area, Nate is looking forward to building on the amazing community he's been a part of for so long!
